Three contributors share highlights from electronic music in 2021.
The Critics Roundtable gives Resident Advisor contributors a chance to go in-depth on their highlights in electronic music from the year thus far. This time around, Martha Pazienti-Caidan is joined by writers Jasmine Kent-Smith and Marcus Barnes.
Kent-Smith is currently a staff writer for Crack Magazine, former bass and club music editor for Mixmag and contributes reviews to RA, such as her Re:wind of Sticky and Kele Le Roc's UKG classic "Things We Do." Exchange listeners will recognise Barnes from recent episodes with Mark Radford and DJ S. He's also the author of Around The World In 80 Record Stores and writes regularly for The Guardian, Mixmag and DJ Mag.
In conversation, the trio cover standout releases from the likes of Cosha and Shygirl, Facta and Laughing Ears, and highlight exciting prospects such as BackRoad Gee, OS Community and EHFM radio.
